Abstract

What is the pedagogical aim of a school being an educational institution? In my view, the answer to this question is crucial and decisive. For me that aim is embracing the identity formation of students, their personhood, and that is why we should be aware of fostering and hindering factors with respect to teachers as persons and professionals, the circumstances, pedagogical and didactical arrangements in the school, policies of the government, et cetera.
