Adolescent Mothers' Beliefs about Open Adoption

Abstract

This article assesses pregnant adolescents’ and adolescent mothers’ experience with and expectations about adoption, ratings of social and personal factors in their decision to keep or relinquish a child, and preferences for characteristics of open adoption. Implications for counseling are discussed.
