Abstract

This paper discusses the word sense annotation based on real corpus in the field of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language. We choose 1173 polysemous words to do the labeling in Corpus of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language based on word sense definition in Modern Chinese Dictionary. At last, 237 polysemous words are selected for quantitative analysis of the word sense distribution. By investigating the reappearance rate of polysemous words in the sense tagged corpus, we summarize their sense distribution patterns to offer important references for vocabulary teaching to non-native students.
