Abstract

We present our ideas about the integration of agent technology with other technologies to build specific assistive tools for the people with disabilities and for the new generation of senior citizens. We aim to explore the benefits of these tools to enhance the autonomy of the target user group in their daily life, and in particular in those cases where this autonomy should be shared between the human and the device that is assisting them. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2007.
