Abstract

This article discusses the potential for the use of serious games by businesses. Firstly, it explores the world of digital learning games in general, then goes on to explain the frequently used yet somewhat vague term serious games and the general benefits to be gained from combining the two ostensibly opposed concepts of playing and learning. Finally, a particular discipline - the digital simulation game - is examined in more detail using a practical example.
