Abstract

In software development, it is necessary to face the challenge of plan change. Any plan change always impacts the operations of software development. Plan change not only need to invest extra resource and cost, but also may cause project delay. In plan change process, the affected development documents and plan items should be effectively isolated and completely modified to reduce project failure risk. Therefore, the software project management plan (SPMP) must have high isolation capability and modification flexibility to reduce plan change risk. In this chapter, in order to increase SPMP changeability, discusses the changeable quality factors and proposes a SPMP Changeability Measurement (SPMPCM) model. High changeability SPMP can enhance isolation efficiency, modification flexibility to reduce software development risk. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
