Abstract

The 5% Co-M/SiO2 catalysts (M - VII Group metal) prepared by sol-gel method have been tested in dry reforming of methane by carbon dioxide and in bi-reforming of methane by both carbon dioxide and water steam. The conditions for formation of stable bimetallic nano-sized particles have been determined. The activity and selectivity of catalysts depend on the nature of the second metal. Presence of water ill initial CO2 + CH4 mixture causes a decrease in the catalyst activity.
