Abstract

Objectives: This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows:. To assess the efficacy and safety of the prophylactic use of any inotropic drug for the prevention of low cardiac output states and associated morbidity and mortality, in adults undergoing cardiac surgery.
