Abstract

The aims of this study was to develop a valid and reliable science process skills and higher-order thinking skills- oriented test on Colligative Properties of Solutions. The study applied research and development design which was carried out in five stages, there are literature review, item pool, expert judgment, pilot study, and finalization of instrument. Developmental testing involved 75 students of public and private senior high school in Malang and Pasuruan. The final product of instrument consisted of 15 valid items of science process skills test and 13 valid items of higher-order thinking skills on Colligative Properties of Solutions. Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient on science process skills of 0,716 and higher-order thinking skills of 0,704. This indicate that the instrument produced by this research and development can be used to assess students' science process skills and higher-order thinking skills on Colligative Properties of Solutions.
