Abstract

Cement workers belong to the group of building workers. Cement workers are bricklayers, bricklayers' assistants, and concrete workers. Cement workers are in contact with cement in the form of mortar or concrete. Cement workers may develop irritant and allergic cement eczema. Individual protective measures are rubber and leather gloves, hand wash and hand creams, and rubber boots. General prophylaxis against allergic cement eczema is obtained by the addition of ferrous sulfate to the cement.
