Assistive technology has evolved over the years with fantastic technological innovations. However, the literature shows that they are not always accessible academically and financially to whom it should really help. This paper shows the redesign of a conventional mouse for the use of people with specific needs, more directly, quadriplegia, low cost and parts that are easy to find in specialized stores, here called assistive auxiliary hardware - AAH. It also shows the development of auxiliary assistive software - AAS, which together with AAH, form the Integrated Assistive Auxiliary System - IAAS, of patent belonging to the Federal Institute of Bahia - IFBA, but free for researchers from all over the world to use in their research.
