This paper offers an analysis of the current school paradigms. Among the broad bibliography on this issue, the author summarizes the dominant tendencies on models of school in four paradigms: i) the paradigm of efficacy, ii) of complex organization, iii) of counter-hegemony culture; and iv) of production of shares meaning. Finally, attention is paid to the model of school of the educational system of Spain, reviewing the main influences.
