This paper explains implementation details of a game in Unity3D ® with a focus on immersion and fear. Through immersion, our goal is to draw and encompass the player as much as possible into the simulated environment. During game play, the user is presented with disturbing situations with a hostile and unfamiliar environment. Quick problem solving and finding the means to escape is necessitated with limited resources, as the player tries to survive and as the game becomes less forgiving over time. The final product is a game that is able to keep the player both engaged and terrified through immersion and the sense of approaching doom.
