Abstract

The low quality of public services is still the biggest problem in Indonesia that has led to public service innovation through e-government. One of the goals of e-government is that government agencies can provide effective, efficient, and fast public services. More specifically, e-government is usually implemented through the use of websites. It's trying to explain how the DPMPTSP website of Magelang City as an online information media can be a means of interaction between the government and the community quickly through electronic services. This paper is the result of research in seeking an explanation of how the effectiveness of the DPMPTSP website in Magelang City can be Media Information in the context of government to citizens relations. This study uses qualitative research methods with data search techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. This study uses a measure of effectiveness, including the role of the website, the role of government, goals, reach, content, interaction, supporting factors, and inhibiting factors. The results of this study indicate that the DPMPTSP Magelang City website is quite useful in being able to provide services to the community, both as information providers and online services. It is inseparable from excellent service by DPMPTSP Magelang City. The obstacle in implementing this website is the lack of website socialization so that some people prefer to come to the office rather than using the DPMPTSP website in Magelang City.
