Endocrine consequences: Diagnostic workout and treatment

Abstract

Craniopharyngiomas are in general slowly growing tumors and symptoms may develop gradually. The most common presenting clinical symptoms are visual field deficits and signs of hypopituitarism that may be present at diagnosis but also after surgery. In this chapter, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and treatment of pituitary hormone deficiencies will be reviewed.
