Abstract

Strategic planning is the lynchpin of all the internal and external forces that make up US institutions of higher education (IHEs) as they change to adapt to the dynamic environment of the market today. Effective strategic planning requires (1) creating an inclusive, collaborative process that accounts for all stakeholders’ input and (2) fostering an environment that reflects an ongoing commitment to collaboratively guide the institution toward meeting its goals.
