Abstract

The article analyzes the interchange net and the partnerships between the main players of the Brazilian National Innovation System of Medical Devices. It is presented a panorama of the medical device sector around the world an in Brazil, a definition of National Innovation System and its importance in the social-economic development of a country. In this way, the R&D and Innovation activities demanded by the Innovation System configures a wide work field for Biomedical Engineers. © 2009 Springer-Verlag.
