Abstract

In this article a fast, non-asymptotic algebraic method is used for the estimation of state variables. The estimation is used to implement a position control scheme for DC motor. In addition the estimation of the Coulomb's friction coefficient of the servo motor model has been investigated. The approach is based on elementary algebraic manipulation that lead to specific formulae for the unmeasured states. The state estimation algorithm have been verified by simulation © Springer Science+Business Media B.V. 2009.
