Abstract

To have stable network in a naval ship with inverter-based power system, proper load sharing plays key role. In addition, decentralized control to share loads in naval ships can be an approach to raise reliability of system especially in battles. Droop control has been utilized as an effective approach to share loads respect to VSCs capacity. In this paper, a novel method named Frequency Tracking is introduced. By applying Frequency Tracking on conventional droop control, electric loads inside a naval ship are shared on Voltage Source Converters more accurately and in a decentralize way. Simulation results in PSCAD are confirmations of proposed method in naval ships in order to perform correctly.
