This article describes the development of several class sessions in which students through activities understand what the image is, investigate and reflect on it from the exercises and make proposals from photography, using cell phones, cameras digital or electronic devices of any kind that allow them to approach the image applying what has been seen in class. The main objective of the article is to make known the methodology used for the development of creativity and sensitivity with respect to the image, activities that are generated in the course of photography of the Institución Universitaria Colegio Mayor de Antioquia. To deal with the learning of the theory of image and visual literacy based on this methodology, we initially start with exercises in reading, reflection and writing about the subject, then a socialization and discussion with respect to the ideas of the students and some creativity exercises are done. After that, the elaboration of images is addressed, which are initially thought and searched by each of the students based on color parameters and approach to the objects; the images produced are analyzed in class and, finally, the results of unpublished images obtained by the students are obtained from their diverse perspectives.
