Abstract

Scientific visualization deals with various methods of presenting data and results of numerical calculations in graphical form. This plays a crucial role in numerical computations and statistical data analysis, where charts, tables, histograms, plots of data, and mathematical expressions are common for knowledge discovery and for gaining insight into various mathematical concepts. DMelt is a complete suite for visual exploration of data and mathematical functions. It includes dozens of Java libraries for interactive charts in 2D and 3D. Some of them will be discussed in this chapter.
