Abstract

This paper presents a qualitative analysis undertaken in a large telecommunications company. The stimulus to this paper is to understand the beliefs and perceptions of company personnel of Enterprise Integration (EI). The research presented constitutes part of a wider project into El within the company at one of its production facilities. The El project studies a number of different aspects for the integration of product, functional and process orientations. This paper highlights some considerations for Enterprise Integration as a result of the analysis presented. The paper aims to enhance understanding of individual beliefs on EI in manufacturing companies. © 2003 by Springer Science+Business Media New York.
