Abstract

Early in 2007 the American Solar Energy Society [ASES] published Tackling Climate Change in the U.S. This report showed potential carbon emissions reductions from recommended developments in energy efficiency and renewable energy by 2030. To implement these recommendations, ASES convened a group of environmental organizations, to prepare a list of energy policy objectives. This list is still evolving, and later developments will be presented at the Solar World Congress 2007 plenary. Topics include renewable energy, energy efficiency, transportation, buildings, federal leadership, and carbon emissions reductions.
