Abstract

One of the main obstacles of achieving a good performance when teaching or studying a MAS / DAI course in the undergraduate level is the lack of good development tools that allow the teacher and the students to focus on the main subject concepts rather than dealing with GUI and network problems. With this paper, we present such a development tool, which is intended to be as generic as possible, enabling the definition and use of several agent behaviors different agent communication and negotiation protocols. We begin by discussing the motivation of the project and its main goals to continue with some design and development issues and finally current results with future work that is presented. © Springer-Verlag 2004.
