Abstract

This chapter begins with identifying the criteria for Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD). This chapter details both quantitative and qualitative assessment measures for this disorder. Based on the information gained from the assessment, this chapter then discusses guidelines for family systems-based interventions for IGD in the context of residential treatment. Long-term success requires a good follow-up plan after discharge from residential treatment. This chapter ends with a discussion of long-term recovery and sustainability strategies.
