Modeling ubiquitous context in u-learning systems is a challenging task. The model must include support for a variety of context information that differs in nature and granularity level. As such, a representation mechanism that allows an adequate manipulation of this kind of information is needed. Many researchers have proposed using ontologies to embody ubiquitous learning context information. In this paper, an overview of such models is presented, followed by a discussion of their main characteristics regarding the ontology model itself and the support the model provides to the u-learning system.
