Abstract

The latest technological development in web and mobile communication technology has made access to the Internet on the Internet enabled mobile handset quite simpler. But this rapid technological growth has not touched all the sections of the society especially the under privileged ones like the economically weaker strata of society and the people with disabilities. Therefore, in this paper we make an effort to design and develop the Web based application for the Physically Challenged Persons, on the mobile handsets. Our primary focus is to understand the needs and requirements of the Physically Challenged Persons and then design the application which they can efficiently use on the mobile handsets. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media.
