Abstract

In this work a novel (k, n)-threshold scheme to share a secret 3D object is proposed. It is based on the use of a particular type of finite state machine called cellular automata. More specifically, a reversible 3D cellular automaton with memory is used since the secret to be shared can be interpreted as a configuration of such cellular automaton. This protocol is shown to be perfect and ideal. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2014.
