Abstract

Process mining is an analytic method to improve processes by extracting the information from various information systems. The interest has increased recently in scholarly publications. Authors aimed to explore the research outputs to identify and synthesize the results from studies on process mining, specifically in management science and engineering domains. The bibliometric approaches employed to analyze the papers published in highly ranked and cited journals which indexed and ranked in Web of Science Core Collection from 2010 to 2019. This pilot study concentrates on the management science and engineering field. Further, similar studies will be extended with different academic fields and publication sources. The data of 35 highly ranked journal articles found in SCI-Exp and SSCI indexed sources. The bibliometric study reveals the patterns of scientific areas of research domains.
