Abstract

This paper deals with the seasonal variations of the carbon economy in vegandative trees, with particular regards to the impact of external and internal factors. The importance of developmental phenomena (bandween-organs correlations and dormancy) for carbon utilization is pointed out. These should be studied and taken into account to improve the understanding of the annual cycle and the related models. © 1988 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
