Understanding current epidemiological aspects of the territorial distribution of American cutaneous leishmaniasis (ACL) in Brazilian territory, requires characterizing emigration actors o the a regional history, which intervened in the transmission of the disease from 1980 to 2010. For the analysis of cases second Information System Notifiable diseases - SINAN and major migratory phenomena in Brazil during this period it highlights the territorial expansion of the disease, which can be driven by diffusion from areas with high prevalence, either on a regional scale (cycles) or local (pendulum reflux). In the study area, the extent and severity of the disease vary by endemic or sporadic, with specific ecological conditions in different geographical regions. The course of the epidemic can be linked to regional and local level, with intensity flows in different historical periods in endemic areas. Demographic and economic factors are directly related to risk of infection in the study area, observable within a particular historical context. Geographical studies represent valuable subsidies for epidemiological understanding and planning for public health.
