This paper reports the 1 H and 13 C nmr parameters of the disilyl- and digermyl-chalcogenide species (Me n H 3−n M) 2 E, where M = Si, Ge; E = O, S, Se, Te and n = 0 to 3. The general pattern of changing shifts is markedly influenced by methyl substitution.
