Abstract

Numerous surface engineering developments since 1980 have affected much of the industry. They have found applications including: design of industrial machinery, improvement in equipment corrosion resistance, the enhancement of engineered parts and protection against heat, friction, wear and abrasive damage to stationary, moving or contacting parts.
