Abstract

The military medical Estimate is a formal decision-making tool like medical diagnosis. This provides a structure to enable considered analysis of the factors involved in a complex humanitarian emergency. The output of this work is a plan for the military medical response to an emergency situation. This decision-making tool may provide a suitable structure for use by other organizations working in this environment. © Springer-Verlag London Limited 2009.
