Abstract

The purpose of this study is to illustrate the role of GIS in predictive fire modelling and fire management. This is achieved through the development of a fully GIS-integrated fire model. A fire behaviour model is developed and the results are used in the fire spread model as input. The study is conducted in the Kruger National Park, South Africa.
