Tasmanocypris, a new marine ostracode genus: and a review of the family Paracyprididae (Crustacea; Ostracoda)

Abstract

Tasmanocypris, a new marine ostracode genus with the type species T. dartnallin.sp., is described. Relationships between subfamilies and genera in the familyParacyprididae, to which it belongs, are discussed based on the recent literature andre-examination of some type materials.
