Abstract

A global consortium has come together under the Enable project to create a suite of freely available, accessible, online, self-paced training modules for tutors working in adult education, who may be supporting disabled students. Topics covered include working with disabled people; pedagogical principles of using ICT to support disabled learners; making online teaching content accessible; free and built-in ICT to support disabled adult learners; end-user issues including accessibility and usability; and standardisation. © 2014 Springer International Publishing.
