Abstract

In the future, technetium, a part of nuclear wastes, may increase dose equivalents delivered to members of the public. Technetium toxicokinetics was studiedon rat. Technetium was concentrated in the skin, kidney, and thyroid (respectively15.26 %, 0.18 %, 0.03 % of initial activity 14 days after ingestion).Technetium excretion was fast and intense (82 % of initial activity excreted3 days after ingestion). © EDP Sciences, 1992.
