Abstract

In the following chapter, we will review the literature on the strengths and challenges of military teenagers across a range of life domains. Specific attention will be paid to how parental deployment, physical injury, and mental health problems impact teens. Existing Department of Defense (DoD)-based and civilian-based programs for teens will be described, followed by conclusions and several recommendations for future directions.
