This study aimed to investigate the psychological factors that influence happiness of the Javanese elderly in Klaten. This study belongs to phenomenology that using qualitative approach. Questionnaire and interview guidance delivered to three participants were used as the research instrument. The results of this study indicate that there are 14 factors that affect happiness elderly (income; age; religion; culture; gratitude; physical activity; social relationships; forgiveness; quality of life; individual hospitality; health; married life; having good relationship with children, grandchildren, and daughter, as well as with the brothers) and there are 13 factors that affect the happiness (happiness, patience, calmness, optimistic, feel assured, compassionate, considerate, passionate, has no resentment, relaxed, polite, happy to help / give, and does not afraid of death / surrender to the fate)
