Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to examine the results of the application of a teaching strategy based on gamification by using a learning platform on management simulators in the subject of management information systems in the eighth semester at a public university in the Colombian Caribbean. The methodology is quantitative. The Technological Acceptance Model (TAM) is applied in a first stage, followed by a second stage in which questionnaires are constructed and validated by previous research. Analyses of ease and usefulness indexes valued by students allow determining that they have a direct proportional relationship and a statistically significant correlation, establishing that the higher the perception of the course’s ease, the better the perception of its usefulness. In conclusion, the active pedagogical strategy implemented here contributed to transferring knowledge that strengthened specific competencies of business administration students
