The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the role of competitive advantage as an intervening variable mediating competence and knowledge on the performance of SMEs. The population in this study SMEs in Purworejo Regency with a sample of 95 SMEs. Data collection uses a questionnaire with alternative answer choices using a Likert scale that has been tested and meets the requirements of validity and reliability. Hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the data analysis show that entrepreneurial competence has a positive and significant effect on competitive advantage and knowledge has a positive and significant effect on competitive advantage.
