Abstract

This chapter will commence with a basic introduction to the ventricular system and the subsequent development of hydrocephalus. Next, a review of the literature on congenital hydrocephalus will be presented addressing specific cognitive domains. This will be followed by a synopsis of the emotional and adaptive implications of this condition in children. © 2010 Springer Science+Business Media, LLC.
