Abstract

Comments on the original article by J. Hurlow et al. (see record [rid]2016-48508-009[/rid]) regarding correlations between mental disorders and terrorism. In their article, Hurlow et al. contradicted the assertion that severe mental illness does not have a significant role 'overall in the area of terrorism' and they suggest that these cases are more likely to come to the attention of psychiatrists. The current author states that it is erroneous to insinuate that psychiatrists have a role in identifying these individuals. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2018 APA, all rights reserved)
