A patient with a left sided cerebellopontine angle tumor presented with leftward bias of eye movements. The ocular motor abnormality was most striking during shifts of fixation. All saccades to the left were too large while all saccades to the right were too small. Saccades upward or downward veered to the left along an oblique rather than a vertical line. Recently, the authors reported a case of Wallenberg's syndrome with 'lateropulsion of saccadic eye movements'. In the case described in the present report, however, the signs of lateral medullary infarction were not found. It is suspected that the lesion responsible for 'lateropulsion of saccadic eye movements' causes interruption of pathways in the inferior cerebellar peduncle that connect cerebellum and brain stem.
