Abstract

A material of 26 patients treated for hallux rigidus using the Swanson silastic great toe implant is presented. Subjectively the results were evaluated as 88 per cent excellent or good whereas objective examination gave 84 per cent good or excellent results (80 per cent taking into account two patients who had the prosthesis removed). © 1980 Informa UK Ltd All rights reserved: reproduction in whole or part not permitted.
