Abstract

In the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, technology has added the word smart to the devices offered, such as smartphones, smart televisions, smart watches, smart motorbikes and others. It is certainly a challenge for the world of education to overcome this smart era so they will not get left behind and not have competitiveness in the current period. The first step is, to begin with the building as a place for lecture activity for students by using information technology that trends recently to implement the smart campus. The Smart System concept is targeted to support smart buildings with Internet of Things (IoT) features with Arduino support and a website-based management system which a new design for monitoring the usage of water and electrical. With this smart system, it provides a learning process using IoT technology which rapidly grows at this time and is supported by a 4G internet network, so that students will get a better learning experience and understanding so they can easily master learning material. IoT technology controls electrical devices such as lights and air conditioners and adds cameras to support learning and monitoring processes. This smart building also uses motion sensor camera technology to assist in monitoring activity within the building.
