Abstract

This study seeks to analyze the changes in the financial transfers of the National School Feeding Program (Pnae), and identify which states, stages and teaching modalities were the most affected in the period from 2014 to 2020. The results were obtained through the statistics and descriptive analysis of data from the National Fund for the Development of Education (FNDE). The variables used are year, states, municipalities, stages, teaching modalities, and financial transfers. The results show that, in most years, there was a reduction in financial transfers from the Pnae, as well as a reduction in the number of state education departments and municipalities covered by the program. It is noteworthy that in 2020 schools were closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and, therefore, there was a smaller number of municipalities served by the Pnae.
