Abstract

Objective: To describe a step-by-step instructional video on performing a vaginal apical suspension to the uterosacral ligaments at the time of a robotic hysterectomy. Method(s): A 0 v-loc suture is utilized to suspend the vaginal apex to the uterosacral ligaments bilaterally using the Intuitive Davinci Xi platform. Detailed illustrations identify the anatomical landmarks in this suspension and the techniques utilized to perform a successful suspension. Result(s): Appropriate apical support is demonstrated at the time of a minimally invasive hy sterectomy. Conclusion(s): Vaginal apical suspension is an indicated and safe procedure that should be performed at the time of a minimally invasive hysterectomy.
