Abstract

The article focuses on the prevalence of plagiarism in Chinese scientific publications and the need of ethical training in Chinese educators' curricula. Topics discussed include the different types of plagiarism, the reasons for plagiarizing, and harm of plagiarism. It also discusses actions can be made to reduce plagiarism including to conduct research ethics training, integration of plagiarism prevention in university policies, and recognition of plagiarism during manuscript submission.
